There are levels to this! We are either the path (No Intensity), the rocky-ground (Low Intensity), in the thorns (Moderate Intensity), or through God’s grace (High Intensity), the good soil. However, no one is automatically the ‘good soil’ from the beginning. You have to grow through the path (no relationship) to the rocky-ground (learning how to trust in trials) to the thorns (seeking God first) and then to the good soil. Wisdom show us it is a process of the transformation of the heart through our relationship with God. And, through that relationship our ‘good soil’ is nurtured and cared for by the power of the Holy Spirit through the discipline of putting Him first, loving others, and a desire to make Him known.
